Du Riechst so gut is the 6th song of the first Rammstein album, Herzeleid (1995). It was also their first single, released on August 24, 1995, and their first music video as well, released that same year. Three years later, the band would decide to release again the song barely changing anything but making a new, much better music video.

Most people don't like this video and I'm not exactly an exception... I appreciate it because it's the first video they ever made, but that's all. Not that I hate it either, but well, the ones they've made later are much better. Unlike most of their videos, this one doesn't have a storyline: in it we can see the six Rammstein guys shirtless, mainly just 'posing' for the camera, with a few shots of a doberman and flowers at times (the flowers are, by the way, gerbera daisies, the same flower they used for the original Herzeleid album cover).

In my opinion, this video is still one of the best videos Rammstein have ever made. Yes, I love the song and that helps - but I like the video itself so much too. The action takes place probably during the 18th/19th century: a girl in a red dress goes to a masquerade party and the Rammstein guys, who are some kind of werewolves, try to follow her scent to go after her and find her at that party. Till is the one who finds her in the mansion's garden and they go up to a bedroom, where he turns into a wolf-like creature and makes her turn into one as well. The guys finally leave the mansion, running away converted in grey wolves, after an unforgettable scene with Richard appearing in the middle of the party with the girl's red dress on him ;)
